As much as I loved having our home decorated for Christmas, it felt so good to take everything down and look at my house with fresh eyes. I’m loving having everything cleaned up and simplified.
I DID pull out my lighted DIY plywood sign that I made last year:
I loved it in our last house, but I may love it even more in this house! I kept the pom pom garland that I used on our bookshelves while they were decorated for Christmas, but I just love them for a touch of whimsy for Valentine’s Day:
This is such a focal spot in our house, and I now see it acting as our “mantel” for the different seasons. I love that big ceiling medallion – I bought it at my favorite antique store a few years ago (it used to hang in Isaac’s nursery)
