You’re invited into my home on Sunday December 4th.
Not just through the screen, social media, and edited pictures.
But you’re invited to actually physically step into my home and walk around.
It may not seem like a big deal to you, but this is a really big leap of faith for me. The pictures I choose to share on social media and my blog are mostly edited and carefully photographed. I have made a real effort to share that this is NOT my reality (hello – I have a one year old and a 3 year old and I’m not a neat person by nature at all).
But when the people in my town asked me to participate in our town’s Christmas house tours, I realized it could bless other people to come walk through our home. I truly love virtually sharing our home, and the chance to physically share our home is a unique opportunity to welcome people I wouldn’t have met otherwise into our space.
Our house is not finished. We haven’t even owned it for 2 years yet, and there’s so much more to be done. It’s filled with imperfect DIY projects, and if you look close enough, you’ll see that they weren’t professionally done. It’s an old home with quirks and imperfections. We have a long list of projects that still need to be done. We do life in this space, and it’s a messy life with 2 toddlers.
But we love our home. It’s come such a long way! I personally love it so much more because of the quirks that come with an old house that is filled with DIY projects.
We also love people, love Jesus, and pray that the people who walk into our home will sense that love. And, I obviously love decorating for Christmas! So because of that, I’m physically welcoming you into our home on December 4th.
If you’re local, please check out this link to see how to purchase tickets for the event. You can also view it on Facebook here.
…and do me a favor? Don’t look too closely if you come…you will find remnants of a busy life with two little kids in a home that’s still being renovated. But do come and give me a hug and pretend you don’t notice 😉
Baby mullet ponytails have to be one of my *favorite* things ?? unrelated…I wrote a whole post about all of my favorite things under $50 to give as gifts this year on my blog – the link is in my profile ??? it's part of a bigger series – you really have to click up there to see what @thriftydecorchick, @inmyownstyle, @remodelacasa, @stacyrisenmay, and @julieblanner all came up with ??? #livingin1902 https://goo.gl/IIyhWI
