Ever since we started fixing up this house, I was dreaming about decorating our front porch for fall. We kept things simple last year (we were dealing with a 2 year old and a 4 month old while knee deep in renovations). But this year, we got to decorate our porch the way I wanted to! I am so excited to share my fall front porch with you this year.
I grabbed mums and pumpkins as soon as I could this year! I can’t wait to see how this will look once everything’s actually bloomed (I’ll share a picture on my Instagram!)
Our front door used to be a lovely shade of faded maroon – I painted it Benjamin Moore “wrought iron” and really love the color! (see all of my tips to update your own door – in one weekend- here) I’m excited to attack the storm door some day too. Too many projects, too little time!

I used things I had on hand to help layer the porch. I bought some buffalo check napkins from Target’s dollar spot and that beautiful lantern from hayneedle.com.
I also did the simplest DIY ever with a white pumpkin and a paint pen (my favorite kind here). Try it – such a simple and cute way to spruce up your porch!
Also – I feel like a failure as a DIY blogger, but I didn’t make our fall wreath this year! Sometimes it’s more important to realize that you can’t do it all (or close to “all”) and I got this wreath from hayneedle.com – I love it so much!
Our house is on a corner, so our front door is actually on a less visible road. This section of our porch faces the busier road, so I spruced it up a little for fall too. Love these inexpensive buffalo check pillow covers!
Also – make your own “gather” sign with these instructions – and sign up for my e-mail list at the bottom of this post to get your own printable guide to make the sign yourself!
If you like my porch, I’d be so thankful if you would share it by pinning it here or sharing on Facebook!
Don’t stay away for long – I’ll be sharing our fall house tour later this week!
In the meantime, here’s 5 simple tips to style a farmhouse fall display.
Thank you to hayneedle.com for providing me with some products for our front porch. I love working with companies that I can recommend wholeheartedly to my readers!
