Our girls bedroom design for the new house – featuring unicorns, princesses and pink in a non-tacky way! Affiliate links included – full disclosure here.
Oh my gosh my head is SWIRLING with ideas for our NEW HOUSE!
So as much as I’d love to start dreaming about how we’re going to decorate our kitchen or family room, we’re going to be making some awesome bedrooms for our kids first.
Our new girls bedroom design ideas:
I’m having some major mom guilt about adding this huge change of moving into their lives right as Isaac is starting Kindergarten. To make up for it, we’re making them super fun bedrooms!
I’m sharing the girls bedroom design first (Isaac’s will be coming next!)
Heidi & Nora will be sharing a room, and Nora requested:
Unicorns & princesses
OK so that’s adorable.
Also this can look cheesy quickly!
Here’s the bedroom design plan we came up with…that Nora AND I are very excited about!

Elements of this girls bedroom:
First of all – if you’ve been here for a little while then you know I love board & batten! The board & batten I used for that mood board up there is from The Turquoise Home blog – she did that in her girls bathroom and it’s the perfect color!
Adding the board & batten will help the wallpaper we chose to not be as overwhelming or visually busy. But seriously – how cuuuuute is that wallpaper?
Since she wanted princesses too – we’ll be adding this art piece from Etsy in their room, and possibly getting princess sheets as well.

And then we’ll be keeping her bed frame, bedding, and under bed storage in the new house. We love all of them & it’ll be easy to keep them in the new house too!
