One month of social distancing: an update

We’ve been quarantined for 1 month this week! 2 adults working from home, 3 kids 6 and under – this is how we’re filling our days.

I did a video when we were about 2 weeks into social distancing, and so many of you told me that you enjoyed it. I was going to do one every week…but can I be honest with you? Editing these videos takes so long for me since I’m still newer to this “skill” – and during this time of social distancing, time to work has been more scarce. So I’m aiming for every other week! I’m glad you liked watching the first video too – I feel like it’ll be really fun for us to look back on this time in our lives and remember what it was like when we’re on the other side of this thing.

The projector:

We bought this projector when we moved to our new house – thinking we could use it for an outdoor movie night. Then school started, the nights got too cold, and we didn’t get a chance to do it. Sad! But it worked out pretty well to have this surprise on hand for this social distancing time in the end! 

We set it up in our basement but it’s able to move pretty easily (we hook it up to our laptop).  We’ll need to get external speakers for it eventually (I’m thinking especially when we bring it outside) but it works for us for now just like this!

And the price is good – for a projector! Lots of them are hundreds of dollars…which just wasn’t worth it for me. Plus – I really like the idea that I can use it for my projects too (did you catch the time lapse at the end of the video??)
