We were in NEED of some major pantry organization – and thanks to The Home Edit line at Walmart we now have a beautifully organized pantry! Thank you to Walmart for sponsoring this post – all opinions are always 100% my own. This post contains affiliate links.
It’s cliche, I know this. But we’re getting spaces in our home cleaned out and organized in the new year. Even if it’s cliche, it still feels great, and maybe you’re doing the same!
But let me tell you – this took work. And it feels SO GOOD to have it done! I really think that this will work well for our family – and I hope it gives you some inspiration for yours too.
Here’s what we did to take our pantry from the “before” to the “after”.
Changed the storage systems:
We had a pegboard on the walls in our previous pantry design, but our mugs were always falling off the hooks. We’ve broken many mugs this way, and we were sick of it! While using the vertical space (the walls) was a good idea, we needed to do it in a more sturdy way. We bought a mug rack. and it’s a much better way to store these mugs! It looks so much nicer and will function much better too.
As you can tell – we also added a light! It makes such a difference in this deep and dark pantry. We bought a battery operated motion sensor light and put it on the ceiling.
Added new storage pieces:
I bought 4 sets of storage pieces from the new line by The Home Edit which is exclusively sold at Walmart. It’s honestly so good! It’s a really well priced line that’s streamlined and great quality. I want to purchase a few more items for other spaces in my home – because it’s just so good. You can click here to see all of The Home Edit pieces at Walmart.

Make it work for you:
While this pantry design might not work for every family, it has specific things that work well for us. A few of those examples are:
- we shop in bulk, so we made room on the top shelf to put the bulk items we weren’t currently using.
- while trying to encourage independence in our kids, we’re trying to let them guage when they’re hungry and need to eat. We put some snacks at their level so they can access them when needed through the day (we did this in the fridge too!).
- clear bins help us to see what we have and what we need to shop for – this way things can’t get buried as easily.
I am just so happy with how this turned out – I have never had such a nicely organized pantry! I hope this can give you some ideas for how to organize your own. Click on any of the images below to be brought to the product links:

I love that this is a small pantry that is more like what I currently have – l really like how you showed that in one day- you can accomplish so much to improve a space. I need the clear containers and the risers – I am going to be adding those to my shopping cart soon! Well done!

Ok, you went and did it. Now I got to get up of my butt and go cleanup our messy pantry, especially after seeing your fabulous pantry. Thanks for sharing
