I only have a pictures from 34 weeks…but it’ll have to do!
Our baby weighed in at 5 lbs at our appointment last week – our little peanut is growing!!
We had our baby shower last weekend, and it was SO nice to celebrate with some of our closest friends and family! We’re also planning on doing a “meet the baby” event after the baby’s born for the friends of the grandmas. I think that will be so much fun!
We also celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary a few days ago!
This week was filled with lots of organizing! We went through our registries and found what things we still needed to have (the “necessities”) and are working on buying them from the stores we registered from, or buying them second-hand. I have been a Craigslist junkie lately, and it’s really paying off!! No pictures of what I bought right now…but I’ll have them up soon! We bought a changing table, glider, and a diaper bag this week between Craigslist and yard sales. Love all of them!!
On the not-so-fun note…my nighttime blood sugar numbers have been slowly climbing – and I am starting small doses of insulin at night now. Bleh. And because of this, I now need to go to the perinatal center (almost an hour away) two times every week for non-stress tests. I had my first one today, and the experience itself was great – it’s just really hard to figure out when I’m supposed to get everything done with this new schedule! Just keep reminding myself that there’s only 6 weeks left…it’s not a forever thing! And we’re SO thankful that everything with the baby looks totally normal – a huge relief and not one that we take for granted!
How far along? 34 weeks
Maternity clothes? absolutely! Still able to wear some large non-maternity tops, but always wearing maternity bottoms.
Sleep: I’m up for hours every night – guess God’s preparing me for the upcoming months!
Best moment of the week: Getting the nursery ready!!
Miss anything? Missing everything sweet (fruit, juice, candy, cake, you name it!!)
Movement: Yes! Baby is moving SO MUCH and getting SO STRONG! The lady during our ultrasound couldn’t believe how much he/she was moving – she said we had better be prepared!
Food cravings: Orange juice, sherbet, FRUIT. So sad.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope!
Gender prediction: When we saw the quickest glimpse of the baby’s face during our 3D u/s (he/she was not cooperative, and kept putting their hands in front of their face!!) I said, “That is absolutely a boy!” We’ll see if I’m right – hubby’s not quite convinced
Labor signs: Nope – but my non-stress test shows that I’m having “baby contractions” right now, which is totally normal for this stage of my pregnancy.
Symptoms: Just out of breath alllll the tiiiiime.
Belly button in or out? In – but it’s very shallow!!
Happy or moody most of the time? This week has been generally happy- just a little stressed with trying to figure out how to get to all of these appointments (and figuring out my insulin…)
Looking forward to: Our all-day intensive birthing class on Saturday – I’m sure I’ll leave with my head swimming!!
Such a cute belly!
Good for you taking a birthing class. I totally winged it. lol
