It’s hard to believe Isaac is 3 years old! I feel like I was just announcing him being born! In the beginning of 2016, I promised to share more personal posts on my blog, but I haven’t done such a great job with that. Here’s some pictures of our little guy’s special day!
We started off the morning with just our little family and did some simple presents. Isaac LOVED getting a tool set (here’s the affiliate link for the tools we got him and for the tool box too). It made my heart so happy to see him so excited to “fix the stairs just like daddy”

(FYI – garland was from the dollar store. So cute!)
We had a first birthday party for Isaac, skipped last year (maybe it had something to do with having a 2 month old and just having moved into our fixer upper 3 months before…) but we had a small party for him this year. Of course – I took ZERO pictures because I was busy playing hostess the whole time…but it was so much fun!
I managed to snap a little before & after (follow on Snapchat here)
Isaac tends to be shy and doesn’t love change – and he was nervous about having people over for his birthday. I told him that they were going to sing when he had cake and he said, “Mommy, I just don’t want them to be crazy. I want them to sing it quietly to me.” Ha! My cautious little boy.
Thankfully, all went well and he had a blast. We just had some immediate family and regular playdate friends over, so all was good 🙂
Isaac LOVES books – he was thrilled to get lots as presents
We ended the night with his new movie and toys from my parents and introduced him to Toy Story. He was so excited to watch the movie with our family AND Buzz and Woody.
My sweet, smart, sensitive little boy is 3 years old and I can hardly believe it! This stage of life is so tiring, but it’s so much fun. Make sure you’re following on Instagram and Snapchat (under “christinasadven”) to see more of our real-life pictures!
Happy Birthday! My baby turns 3 in October. Its hard to believe and they really do grow up in a blink of an eye.
Thanks, Megan! This age is so crazy with how quickly they’re growing and developing into their own little people – I feel like my son has truly grown up overnight!! I’m sure you feel the same!
