I shared our house tour for “A Very Farmhouse Christmas” posting series yesterday – and today I’m excited to share our Christmas family room with you!
I don’t often get to photograph this room because there’s usually kid messes that take over the space. Since we had everyone through our doors for our town’s Christmas house tour this weekend, we got to thoroughly clean the place.

We live in this family room – and we live in it hard with two toddlers!
One of the challenges we have in this room is that we have no hardwired lighting. We’ve had to get creative with lamps, lanterns and hanging lights to make up for the lack of ceiling lights.

I’m thrilled we got this light from Barn Light Electric – you can pay a little bit more and get their hardwired lights to be made into plug-ins. This is the light we chose – we love it so much!

I asked my friend/assistant/nanny Kayla to do some of her chalkboard magic in our house this Christmas. I am so in love with how this turned out! These Christmas houses were given to me throughout the years when I was a kid so I could use them in my house someday.
The room has come a long way in 2 years!
Make sure you stop by my friend’s websites for their farmhouse Christmas tours – they’re incredible!

Thank you to Barn Light Electric for providing me with a light for our family room. All opinions are always my own, and I’m thankful for companies that I can so wholeheartedly recommend to my readers!
