I am loving my decorated swag in place of a wreath this year, and I think the ornament in the middle really puts the finishing touch on it:
The good news is: it was super easy (and thrifty) to make your own! Here’s how I did it:
I bought a whole stack of paper doilies from the Dollar Store. Then, I folded 8 doilies 3 times each. Then, I laid them out on top of another doily (if you’re doing the math, you’ll need 9 doilies and you’ll need to do 24 folds total) Hot glue the tips onto that 9th doily:
Then, you can get creative with what you want to put in the middle. A monogram would look super cute, and I think I may actually make some of those to put on top of presents this year. I chose to stamp a design onto a circle, and mount that on another circle. Then I just hot-glued it to the center of the ornament. Then I just picked a simple ribbon to hot-glue onto the back:
And you’ve got your very own doily ornament!
