Easy salmon recipe:
My husband and I don’t eat a lot of fish. We don’t really do lobster or crab, and shrimp is a rare occasion. The past year, we’ve been working on eating salmon once a week because of it’s numerous health benefits. Did you know that…
- Salmon is high in protein
- Salmon is full of Omega-3 fats (the good fat that your body needs)
- Omega 3 fats help reduce the chance of:
- heart disease
- diabetes
- some cancers
- arthritis
- strokes
- Omega 3 fats help reduce the chance of:
- 4 oz. of salmon provides a full day’s requirement of Vitamin D
I like salmon with lemon, too, but the tastiest way I've found to eat it is baked with the teriyaki sauce from Our Best Bites. It's awesome!
YUM. Our tastes are so similar- like that's any surprise. 🙂 I love any fish with lemon. I am bookmarking this under recipes to try- thanks for sharing, Christina!
Looks good! We try to eat salmon at least once a week. I'll have to try the lemon juice. Thanks for sharing.
This salmon recipe looks fabulous. Love how easy it is! I'm definitely going to try it this week, but I'll put it on the BBQ (on top of foil). My daughter just got home from the hospital (after delivering her first baby) so she could definitely use some of those awesome vitamins! – Suzanne
We love salmon over here! We do pretty much the same thing, but have a lemon tree in the backyard so we can harvest our own lemon juice. Yum!

I make a Dijon mustard salmon. Spray foil with Pam product, sprinkle lemon juice over salmon. Drizzle a little olive oil on the salmon. Top salmon with dijon mustard, spread evenly. Close the foil, it will steam the salmon. Bake at 450 for 20 minutes, less for a thinner piece of salmon.
Another delicious salmon recipe is Sweet Glazed Salmon. 1 stick butter, 1/3 cup brown sugar, 2T Teriyaki sauce, 1 clove of minced garlic. Cook in saucepan until it is thick like a glaze. Place salmon on aluminum foil, pour glaze on top, close foil and bake at 450 for 20 minutes. Delicious!
This I my favorite meal. I usually add dill to the fish, and, as a special treat, brown rice steamed in the water used to deglaze the fish pan. Pour it into the broccoli pan and add the rice. Be sure to add enough water or broth to cover the rice, cover the pan and reduce heat to a simmer until all of the water is absorbed. YUM !
Tried it, so easy, so good!
so glad you liked it Diana!! Thanks for letting me know – this recipe has been a staple of ours for years now 🙂
