I love decorating for fall, but I’m not always SO crazy about a traditional wreath. I mean – it’s cute, but I don’t feel such a need to have one!
I tried to get creative using some other things in my craft room – and I came up with this idea for a fall door decoration:
I actually made this LAST fall, but totally didn’t get around to posting it. I made it when Isaac was less than 2 months old, so this should speak for how super simple the project is!
I started out with three embroidery hoops (thrifty tip: go get these at thrift stores!)
And filled them in with fabrics I had in my stash. These were all from the remnant section … this is a great project to use up scrap fabrics.
I attached the embroidery hoops to each other using hot glue.
I just added a few leaves in the middle (also with hot glue) for some interest:
And that’s it! Seriously – it’ll take you less than 15 minutes!
