Farmhouse decor ideas in the kitchen for spring and summer – lots of fresh greenery and wood tones balanced with crisp white elements. Shiplap, wood ceiling, copper sink, subway tiles and a barn door adds character to this fixer upper kitchen. Affiliate links included – full disclosure here.
I’m hoping that by decorating for spring in our kitchen, it will actually bring warm weather. Here in Pennsylvania, we’re still seeing snowflakes and we are SO ready for spring!
Spring farmhouse decor in the kitchen
If you’ve been following along for a while, you might remember what this kitchen used to look like (and if you have no idea what I’m talking about, check out these pictures).
For our kitchen this season, I added lots of fresh and faux greenery. It’s really that simple!
Greenery brings life into a space, and will hopefully mirror the outdoors sooner rather than later!
I did get a few new pieces from one of my most favorite farmhouse decor shops, Curtis Creation. I’ve talked about them before, but I am truly in love with everything I have from her shop! I got those adorable enamelware canisters that are the perfect touch to our kitchen.
And then I got this vintage inspired scale that is just the perfect touch of green above our sink! I added a little copper pot from my grandma on top and I seriously love it.
Adding in some fresh hydrangeas in an old mason jar (thank you Trader Joe’s!) adds the right amount of fresh to the kitchen:
I really couldn’t love our kitchen any more than I do. I love that we’ve put so much effort into making it work for our family, while making it a space that we love to spend time in.
