Happy Friday! I’m excited to share all of my favorites for the week:
Farmhouse deals:
These window arches are *beautiful* and at such a great price for the size! If you have the right proportions of a TV they would look great on either side of a TV on your wall. It would also look beautiful anchoring a gallery wall! BUY THEM HERE – supplies are limited.
These indoor/outdoor pillows are on a great sale and are the perfect touch of color and pattern for spring and summer! Shop these pillows here. The store is actually having a GREAT flash sale – all pillows are 30% off and there’s free shipping! Shop the whole sale here.
This one is a “shop the look” deal instead of a single item. We made over our bedroom a few months ago, and I’m in love with the look we were able to put together! Here’s how you can shop & DIY our bedroom look:
- Bedding
- I love this bedding! It’s beautiful & has held up really well. The reviewers don’t like that the color is a light creamy yellow instead of an ivory. If you’re OK with that color difference then you’ll love it!
- Sconces
- We love these sconces and the fact that they’re plug-in! No hardwiring involved…they’re also on a dimmer so it makes it nice for soft evening light for reading in the bedroom.
- Wood Valance tutorial
- One of my favorite DIY projects to date! SO inexpensive and makes such a visual impact!
- Rug
- This is the rug that started the whole bedroom makeover! A GREAT price point for a large rug like this! Great at hiding dirt too.
- Plant hangers
- These are a really inexpensive way to add visual interest and texture in a room.
- Paint color
- This paint color was a little bit of a risk, but we are in love! I had the color custom made – make sure you read that post to see the details about the color.
- Peel & stick shiplap wall
- A huge impact behind our bed – we love this wall! A great way to add texture to any room…the process to install it is SO simple!

Favorite inspiration:
This hallway is beautiful and a brilliant way to update a boring hallway. I love the navy upper walls, white lower walls, lighting fixture, small furniture at the end of the hallway, and simple frames on the wall. It’s perfection and easily replicated! See the original source here:
Everyone loves shiplap, but what about putting it on the ceiling? And painting it gray? I think this is beautiful in the right room (with lots of light). See this design & the rest of the home:
Favorite design tip:
Have you heard of “hygge”? It’s a Danish term that means “charming, cozy, special.” It’s very non-specific, but in reference to home decor, I think of hygge like this:
Brooke from Nesting with Grace has a beautifully cozy home that reads to “hygge” to me. She creates cozy spaces all over her home, and I love this post of hers where she shares 4 simple tips to have a cozy home.
Our family:
We enjoyed the very bizarre February weather this week – it was in the 70’s and sunny one of the days this week! We took full advantage and played outside ALL DAY. We took snacks, lunch, games, walks, everythingggg outside. Man, it got me so excited for the upcoming warmer weather! It was really fun to just unplug and enjoy the kids and the beautiful sunshine.
The night before, my in-laws watched the kids while my husband and I walked down to a local restaurant and got to enjoy a weeknight date night. So fun! We’re trying to take full advantage while we don’t have a newborn attached to us 🙂
What we’re eating:
One pot cheese turkey taco chili mac: This is a good and simple weeknight recipe! I added some more turkey to up the protein, and we added in some chopped fresh spinach too. I added less pasta than what she called for in the recipe, and I also used my “special pasta” (made out of chick peas – you can buy it here). I guess mine wasn’t truly one pot since I cooked the pasta separately (I like to rinse out that pasta after it cooks). But it’s a good weeknight meal the whole family liked!
Whole 30 sloppy joe bowls: These have been a weekly staple for us! So easy and so good – I added some spinach and extra peppers to add a little bit of extra veggies.
Chicken shawarma fries with Mediterranean salsa: Another one of our favorites! We made this when my sister and her husband came over for dinner this week. We use sweet potato fries instead of cutting my own fries, and I cooked the chicken ahead of time (I’ve used a crock pot other weeks). Then we topped with Tzatziki sauce and it was SO good! The kids like theirs “deconstructed”, but we eat it all piled up like the recipe suggests.
