Spring Decorating Ideas:
Have you checked out my spring home decorating ideas yet?
I personally think that spring and summer decorating should be fresh, uncomplicated, and filled with natural elements. Think: fresh cut flowers, faux flower stems and lots of greenery. You can see just how we incorporated these elements into our spring home decor in these posts:
Spring decor in our family room and hallway:
Our family:
For some reason, Pennsylvania thought it would be a fun idea to celebrate the beginning of spring with over a foot of snow. *eyeroll* We decided to make the best of it and had fun crafting, cooking, and staying in pajamas all day! AND we ended snow day #1 with having the kids spend their FIRST night in a shared room!
This was a big deal because it was also Nora’s transition into a “big girl bed” – and I am so proud of how she did! We’d been kind of dreading this transition, but wanted to get it done before baby #3 comes in June. It’s taking the kids a little while to fall asleep, but we’re three nights in and things have really been going better than expected. It’s so cute to hear them talking sweetly to each other in their beds! It makes my momma heart proud.
AND we had a growth ultrasound this week and heard the best words you can hear at these appointments – everything looks “normal”! Since I’ve been struggling with keeping my numbers low enough (working my butt off doing everything I can to keep my numbers low through diet, but I’m also taking insulin and Metformin) so I worry about the amniotic fluid levels and size of the baby. The baby is measuring in the 70th percentile, which is within the normal range, and is already 2.5 lbs! We begin the third trimester in a few days, so we’re getting closer to the day we get to hold this sweet baby in our arms.
Favorite before & after:
OK you guyssss! This makeover is so incredible! I just love how they kept that original architecture of that fireplace – the whole house makeover is so inspiring and you guys will love it!
I share these and a LOTTT more across my social media channels – make sure you’re following along on Instagram, Facebook & Pinterest for many more inspiring ideas!
Finally – how YOU can help with increasing our donation for Crafting for a Cause this weekend!
One of the way I earn money as a blogger is through ads. Yes, those obnoxious things that are on my webpage help to actually bring viable income to my family!
I am donating all of this weekend’s earnings to our Crafting for a Cause donation. So whatever I make through my ad earnings on my website this weekend will be donated.
How can you help?
- Visit my website 🙂
- Share it with others!
- Pin my content on Pinterest
- Watch a video on one of my posts
- Click around on Saturday and come back again on Sunday!
- It’ll take you less than a minute to do any of these, and it’ll help to add to our donation
This month’s donation is going to Kiva. I originally heard about them through Erin from CottonStem and I fell in love with the mission!
Basically, we fund a woman’s loan in a developing country. She uses that money to start her business, and then repays the loan through the website. Then…we get to use that money again and fund someone else’s small business loan! It’s a brilliant idea and I love it SO much. You can read more about their organization here.

This is awesome! I feel like I need to spend the weekend redecorating my entire house! Thank you for sharing and putting all these great ideas together. I’m seeing a trip to Hobby Lobby and Home Depot in my future… 🙂
