Our family:

Man – we’re in the home stretch before baby #3!  3 weeks and counting – it’s been a little rough lately.  I have appointments 35 minutes away three times a week, and the kids aren’t supposed to come…so that means lots of transporting them back & forth to my mom’s house and it all becomes a 3-4 hour ordeal…3 times a week.  It’s a lot.  My gestational diabetes is being managed well, so that’s good!  Every test is coming back “normal” which is the best word you can hear at this point.  I just need to get through these next 3 weeks of craziness before we enter into a totally different kind of crazy!

I think the kids are starting to feel the strain too.  They  just finished preschool and we’re working on being really intentional about spending 1:1 time with them and making them feel really special.  Isaac’s been more on edge lately, and I’m sure it’s because he knows there’s a big change coming.  Nora’s been sleeping terribly, and up at all hours of the night, which is exhausting and frustrating.  It puts us all in a bad mood!  So my goal for the next few weeks is to slow down, realize I can only do so much before the baby comes, and give the kids some intentional time with just me and Taylor.

Also big news?  Nora turned 3 (which is totally crazy!) and we joined the minivan club!!  Which basically means that this baby can come since we now have a vehicle that we can all drive in – hooray!
