Friday favorites full of cozy interiors, home cooking, fall thoughts (and decor ideas) and a little life update at the end!
Hey friend! Welcome! I am in fall mode right now and inspired by all the cozy interior ideas. Getting ready for hour homeschool year (here’s what I’m reading … and re-reading), organizing our spaces, and purging the things we no longer need. Oh, also working on getting candles ready for fall! They’re available for order now but won’t be shipping out for another week!
Cozy Interiors + Thoughts on decorating for fall:
I LOVED this podcast episode from The Nester. Here’s some great ideas on how to usher fall into your home without just shopping at Hobby Lobby and getting a bunch of faux fall stems. I know, I know. I’m just over it. Maybe you are too. I recommend this podcast – she puts it so well + it’s got some very simple and practical ideas! You can listen to the podcast here – it’s only 18 minutes long.
With that being said, here are some fall images that are inspiring me. These may not even be explicitly decorated for fall, but they leave me with a cozy fall feeling. Hope they leave you inspired!
Cozy fall scents:
It’s ✨tiiiiime✨! Candle season is here + I can’t wait to get these candles into your homes.
There’s 3 scents for fall available now: Autumn spice (new!), Apple picking, and Fall hike (reformulated this year).
As a reminder: these are all hand poured candles made by me, and they’re made with beeswax, coconut oil, cotton wicks and clean fragrance.

Currently crushing on:
This throw 😍 I have last year’s version of this throw and when I tell you I bought THREE of them … believe me! It’s so soft and thick and we fight over who gets to use it. They’re inexpensive enough to buy a few if you have the same problem 😂
This new color is so pretty for fall, and it would also transition into Christmas and then winter decor so nicely too!

Home Cooking:
I’ve been sharing on Instagram the basic cooking I do for our family of 5 that helps us eat well and avoid more processed foods. While we certainly do a mix of convenience foods and home cooked meals, we notice a big difference in our home when we eat homemade (read: less processed) food more consistently.
Two fall STAPLES around here:
And we’re making sourdough regularly in our home! Have you tried it yet? If not I have all of my very favorite things about sourdough, FAQs, tools to start, and the VERY best recipes linked here:

Life update:
Can you believe me when I say that ALL 3 KIDS are in school now? Yes, my youngest officially started Kindergarten this week.
If you’re confused because you thought we homeschooled…you’re not wrong! Our family does a hybrid homeschool program, so they’re in a school for 2 days a week and we homeschool the other 3 days. Which also means that I have daytime hours to work for the first time EVER in years!
What does this mean? It means I finally get time to update my website and add new content (hopefully) more consistently.
It also means I can get back into working on my shop and making more candles for fall + winter!
I love our homeschool days, and I also love that I can have some time to work while my kids are in an awesome school. So so thankful that you’re here and I can do all of the things I love!
