Running a business from home with two small kids is HARD. I am so fortunate to have lots of family support – but I’m excited to begin the search for my first paid assistant!
In a perfect world – this assistant would be adored by my two kids, she would help to keep me organized, would be a social media whiz, and would be able to help with photo shoots/styling/editing.
But I realize that this person may not actually exist – so I’d be thrilled to find someone who is great with my adorable kids, responsible, willing to learn, is a hard worker, and very organized.
The specifics:
- 6 hours/week (4 hours at my house, 2 hours at home)
- $250/month
- Responsibilities include:
- taking care of my adorable children (ages 2.5 & 8 months)
- Social media work
- Organizational tasks

First you are one lucky duck your home is gorgeous. I used to live in a home like this. I miss it. I just wanted to know if your house ever had pocket doors? The office doorway looks like it was covered up. Have you guys checked?
Thanks so much! We love our home – it’s a ton of work, but it’s really turning into our dream home 🙂 I’m not sure where you’re referencing to in our office, but I think all of the walls are original (they’re all the old plaster). We haven’t found any pocket doors anywhere 🙂
What I mean by pocket doors – See the wood casing around the entry to your office and in between your office and family room. Well back then they would block each room off to keep the home heated in only the rooms that they used the most either during the day or night with either plan old doors or those lovely pocket doors. The wood casing around your entry to the office looks really wide to me. A lot of times people would close off those doors when they covered the floors with carpeting. Or maybe your home they just used curtains. I was just curious good luck to you guys your kids are cute little stinkers.
