Listen, many times I make things in the kitchen that are fun, but aren’t our “staple items”. They might take longer, or are a special treat.
These 4 things are our “bread & butter”. They’re our weekly essentials. They’re honestly SIMPLE and require very little hands on time.
The best part? They save me so much time & prep when it comes to mealtime! And my family is eating food I feel good about feeding them.
Except I did have one of my kids say the other day “mom, why can’t we just BUY bread? Why does it always have to be sourdough?” 🫠😆🤦🏼‍♀️

Kitchen staple: soft sourdough sandwich bread!
NOTE: there is a typo! It should be 4 TEASPOONS of salt not 4 tablespoons 🫠
So delicious, nutritious, and do-able! It seems like more work when it’s all condensed into 90 seconds here, but it’s really not a hard process.

It’s unusual that we have a Sunday without plans AND it’s raining so we can’t do garden work. I needed to get some kitchen prep done and I’m so glad I did it … it’ll make our week ahead so much smoother & easier 🙌🏼

PS - my husband definitely took care of all of the dishes. It’s our arrangement- I cook, he cleans ☺️
