I love buttons. LOVE buttons. I will admit, that I don’t use them for projects very often…but I really love looking at them.
I bought a huge bag of buttons at ReStore a few months ago for $1.00. I am sure they came from some old lady’s house.
I separated them all out by colors…
I got these glasses at the thrift store for 50 cents a piece…
Then I filled them up…lined them up in my new craft space…and here they are!!

Mine are just in baggies for now, but your way to store and display them is so much nicer!

Oh-looking at this post has made me so happy. I love buttons. If you ever want to give up on your glass of yellow (Sarah is going to make her boquet out of yellow buttons). I would be a taker. I have an old jar that hold our buttons.

I have my buttons divided by color in blue mason jars. Your glasses are cute.

I borrowed buttons from my M-I-L & used them as decoration at my first craft fair/flea market last year. I divided them by color in mason jars, just like tlateach! 🙂 I had several people ask if they were for sale!

Perfect way to organize! I don't have as many buttons as you. I keep them all in a single jar, which means pouring them all out to search for the right colors 😉

I am LOVING your button display. I must show my husband this post because he thought I was crazy when I bought a bunch of buttons and separated them by color ha ha. Unfortunately I am not as creative as you so I just stashed them in a divided box in the laundry room.
P.S. I found you through Finding Fabulous

oh my goodness I love buttons too! I have never stumbled across a treasure trove like that – you are one lucky girl! I like to scatter buttons and beads across a buffet tablecloth or add them in a jar (sort of like your stemware) for another table grouping. I mostly use mine for gift wrapping or Christmas baubles. So need to stock up! Your collection is so fabulous 🙂

I too love buttons. Over 25 years ago I inherited my great aunts' button basket. She had owned an exclusive ladies dress shop and the basket was filled to the brim with amazing buttons. I have bought many estate sewing tins and baskets since then but none are as wonderful as Aunt Margarets. Yours are cute and sassy!

There is just something about buttons that speak to many of us. I love your idea for displaying them. I can imagine that looking at this lovely display will make your heart sing every time you see it.

Oh my, those look gorgeous. I can't believe you got all that for $1.00. I also sort mine by color….usually. I use mine all the time for craft projects, I just love them so much. I have some that are little works of art.

Your display is so attractive! I LOVE buttons, too. Have been collecting for about 15 years. I have multi-colored buttons displayed in an antique glass coffee pot and clear glass rolling pins in my kitchen. Also, love the color red and have all red buttons in a clear glass vase, with a heart-shaped cloth flower on a wire stem and a cloth flower yoyo on a wire stem “planted” in the buttons in the vase. I like to find interesting glass-shaped containers in which to display buttons. Also I have buttons stored in glass jars in the basement, waiting for the next project to use them 🙂
