I will once again *sing* the praises of brown packing paper. Please tell me that you’re already using brown packing paper for all of your presents, and not buying over-priced wrapping paper!! You can get this at any dollar store, and get so creative with making your packaging unique! Here’s how I packaged up some cute last-minute Valentine’s Day gifts:
I made the first one by kissing that packing paper that I love so much with some bright red lip gloss, and then hot-gluing ribbons on a diagonal across the side:
For the second one, I used some Martha Stewart stencils and craft paint to come up with a cute “xoxo” pattern across the front of the packaging:
And the last one might be my favorite! I used some old lace (actually from my husband’s grandmother’s craft closet!) I wrapped it around and tied it together in the middle, and then I stuck a glittery heart on top with some hot glue. Love!
Please go out to the dollar store today and buy yourself some packing paper! Put away the over-priced wrapping paper for good and make your gifts more personal
Very pretty packages! Brown paper is SO versatile.
Been a KRAFT lover for years.. heads up.. its even cheaper if you buy it at Home Depot and Lowes in the paint department.. they have rolls from 6 inches to several feet wide.. and in rolls almost 200 feet long.. so its pennies. you can even go to other hardware stores and get different colors and thickness’s.. even walmart has it in the paint section..
The red lipgloss kiss packaging is perfect for gifts for the hubby or boyfriend. Kinda hot, but personal, and sweet too. Great ideas!
Cute ideas! I’d love for you to stop by my weekly link party and link this up. http://thelifeofjenniferdawn.blogspot.com/2013/02/a-little-bird-told-me-link-party-29.html
Love the XOXOXO paper!
