I had a really hard time putting our Christmas decorations away this year. Our house seemed like it was made for Christmas, and it was just so fun to have everything decorated. For the first time, I figured out a way to *easily* from Christmas to winter decor.
The easiest way to say it is – get rid of the red.
Let’s take my mason jar decoration (it’s a simple DIY project). You can see how I decorated it for Christmas here – and I took out the red berries and put in some cotton stems. So simple!
I did the same thing for the dough bowl in our kitchen – it took literally 2 minutes:

Our DIY plate shelves are also super simple to switch out – I (sadly) took my cute little Christmas plates off and put these on cute plates instead.
I love how the plate rack looks behind our kitchen table – and especially our new chandelier.
Updated: our dining room got a big makeover – come see our show-stopping accent wall here!!
In our family room, I switched out our red buffalo check pillows for black and white (they’re super budget friendly pillow covers – I have them in so many different colors). I also added a super cozy blanket that we all fight over.

I did the same on our window seat – I took out all of the red and added some texture with these pillow covers:
I also love keeping wreaths up during the winter – you can see all of my best sources for finding farmhouse wreaths online here.
Put all of these ideas together – and you should be able to transition from Christmas to winter decor with ease!
