We are finally getting things ready in the nursery – and I’m getting so excited! This piece of vintage alphabet art is so simple, I feel silly even writing a tutorial for it!
I used my favorite wooden frame (bought at the thrift store for $1!) for this project. I bought these adorable little vintage alphabet cards from this Etsy shop, and these tiny clothespins from this Etsy shop. I arranged my little alphabet cards a few times until I got them in the arrangement I liked:
I cut 5 pieces of twine so they were the same length. I then just hot-glued them right to the ridge in the back of the frame.
I clipped the alphabet cards to the twine…
And was done in about 20 minutes! So simple, but I love how it turned out!
It’s not hanging in the nursery yet, but it will be once we figure out where everything else is going in the room.
What do you think?? Would you decorate with something like this in your kids’ nursery or bedroom?

I LOVE this! Totally worth the tutorial. It’s basic but it looks like something you’d see in some fancy nursery interior design magazine. Since i’m sure there are tons of those out there haha. But really, awesome job!

Fun! Totally cute! Have fun getting the nursery all together!
We are stressing over the fact of will the baby and P share a room or are we giving the baby the guest room. We may be waiting to make this decision until we find out the sex at the end of the month or shoot, later than that! Ahhh! lol

This is so so so cute! Looks like something you could order from Restoration Hardware or similar. I LOVE it! And it’s also something that will totally “grow” with the baby, I could easily see this in my almost 4 year old’s room! Great job!

I made one similar to this for my daughter to put in the nursery of my grandson. I used flash cards with random words: mom dad family baby and added pics of me and one of her as a baby. She has since added baby shower invitations to it. I love love it! I love yours too.
