Use non-traditional items
Don't feel like you have to buy things from a home decor store to complete your look! I got the wheat from the food store and the tea towel from the kitchen section at Target. Adding in food can look great too - buy apples in bulk for fall and put them in a pretty bowl. Try to go through your home and look for things you can re-use. Maybe a wooden spoon? A wicker basket?
