I am slightly nervous to share this post, because this project will take a longggg time.
Here’s the truth: we’re not in the financial position to do a kitchen remodel.
But we are making a few cosmetic changes that will help us to get closer to a kitchen makeover. This is very much a slow-moving possibly years long process, and that’s OK with me! But sometimes putting it out on the internet makes me have a little more pressure 😅
UPDATED TO ADD: We finished the first part of our kitchen makeover! You HAVE to see how we styled this Facebook Marketplace find!

Hi Christina,
I so wish I could find a blogger who has done an excellent job with updating a 1990’s honey oak kitchen. Any suggestions? Painting is absolutely not an option and actually I really do like the solid oak cabinetry. I am finding my way around paint colors (90% settling on Revere Pewter) for the walls. Countertops, hardware, lighting, appliances, flooring are all undecided. I have some ideas I’ve pulled together but would love your opinion(s).
Thanks so much! Really enjoy following along with you 🙂
Same here! 90s honey oak kitchen with honey oak floors. It all blends together in a sea of orange 😂 Any luck finding finding a blogger who’s done it well?
