The best places to buy flush mount lights that won’t break the bank. An easy way to upgrade your home decor in just a few minutes! Affiliate links included – full disclosure here.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – switching out your light fixtures is one of the easiest ways to upgrade your space. It can elevate your look and style in a room so quickly, and with many of the deals I’ve found, it can be done for a lower price point too.
What is a boob light?:
One of the light fixtures that builders just love to put into homes it the infamous “boob light”. Don’t know what I’m talking about? Look at some of your flush mount lights and you might just understand. You’ll never look at them the same way – haha!
Also – since I have breastfed 3 kids…this one makes me laugh:
Why should I get a flush mount light?
If you don’t have a lot of space for people to walk through, I’d consider getting a flush mount light fixture. If you have a few extra inches to spare, then look at the semi-flush mount options. I’ve linked both of them below…you can usually use either one in most spaces. Check out what I wrote under the light fixtures…there’s a lot more advice on which rooms are great to use these lights in (and rooms NOT to use them in too!)
Also – if you have a statement light nearby, then a flush mount light can give you style without competing for attention with the other light. That’s why we chose one for this spot in our house:
This is the light fixture I bought – there’s a LOT of different colors this comes in! I got the matte black with aged brass option.
My best flush mount light fixture recommendations:
Here are some of my favorite finds for flush mount and semi flush mount light fixtures. I’ve checked them all for reviews and only shared the best ones – with good price points! If you don’t love the color pictured, most of these also come in other finishes…so make sure you click on them if you love the style and see if there’s another color you could order instead.
Where do you use flush mount lights?
This kind of lighting is perfect for any room that doesn’t have a large amount of overhead room. We have a very small profile one in our small bathroom, because my husband doesn’t have a huge amount of room between his head and the ceiling.
These kinds of lighting fixtures are also usually very good options for most hallways, laundry rooms, mud rooms, etc. I wouldn’t use these over kitchen islands, dining tables, or as a main light in a larger room. The scale just wouldn’t look quite right, and they wouldn’t be bright enough to light up a larger room.
Do the light bulbs matter?
Also, don’t forget about the light bulbs! This is actually pretty important with these light fixtures, because they’re often exposed. I personally love Edison bulbs (these are the ones I get) but not everyone loves them. Check the wattage – many of them aren’t high and they put off a warm cozy glow. But if you’re looking for something that’s a little brighter and not as yellow, then you might want to check these out instead!
Here are some well rated light bulbs from Amazon – click on each picture to get to the link (first two are warm white, third is daylight)
