Early spring decorating idea for your home – including free prints that you can download and use in your home. Affiliate links are included – full disclosure here.
We’re still under a few feet of snow here in PA – but I’m dreaming of spring weather! I figured that if I started decorating with some early spring colors, then maaaaybe the weather would start cooperating. So here’s hoping that works!
Early spring decorating ideas:
I will be honest – I don’t really love spring decor. I don’t really love decorating with pastels or brighter colors – I love muted earthy colors so much more. BUT I discovered some beautiful muted earth-toned vintage spring prints from the Library of Congress public access images.
Did you know that you’re able to access the whole library of images online here? There’s a lot to sort through, so if you want the ones I used, you can get them by being a part of my e-mail list! When you sign up, I’ll send you an e-mail to a password protected page, and you’ll get access to all the printables I offer on my site. Yes – 100% free for access to all of them!
I paired the prints with black accents and some faux florals I got at Target. I’ve made a shoppable gallery of images that you can click on if you’re interested in any of these products we have here. The candlesticks are from Magnolia, but I linked a more affordable (similar but not identical) trio I found below:

And if for some reason you haven’t seen how we made over this fireplace area – you have to check out our makeover here!
