How we added brick veneer to our kitchen – all the progress shots! Also get a sneak peek at our painted church pew!
Hey friends! Another week has passed – and thankfully I have some fun things to update all of you with this week!
We finally began putting the brick veneer up on our walls!
We’ve been working hard, but it’s still going to take a little while to get this wall finished. This time of year is super busy for me as a blogger, and with Halloween and school commitments, etc…there’s not a whole lot of time left!
I’ve been getting a LOT of questions about our brick veneer when I’ve shared on Instagram … where to buy it, how much it costs, how to install it, etc. I answered all of those questions in this post here – come check it out! We’re using the exact same bricks that we did in our bathroom renovation.
Our painted church pew:
Also – I’ve never shared many pictures of our pew. I painted it when we got it 2 years ago, and then distressed and glazed it. The glaze ended up turning a weird shade of pink – and it’s bugged me ever since! I finally put a coat of DIY chalk paint on it…and woah look how much better it looks already!! This is the recipe I used for the chalk paint – I’ll be writing more about it soon.
So we still have a lot to do – but we got some progress done this week! But I STILL haven’t decided on dining room chairs – I just need to pull the trigger on this purchase! Which one would you choose?
EDITED TO ADD: Here is our new space! The brick veneer looks SO GOOD! Come check it out
Here’s what we still need to do:
- Finish putting brick on the wall
- Grout the bricks
- Repaint the ceiling
- Repaint the pew (second coat)
- Make a cord cover for the chandelier
- Order new dining chairs
- Dutch door???
Make sure you’re following on Instagram to get all of my behind-the-scenes looks into our projects in my stories!
I also may be doing some Facebook live videos to share our progress as we go along, so like my Facebook page right here!
Our process & progress:
I’m loving your space! The bricks look amazing, and that pew is beautiful.
Can’t wait to see the finished space 🙂
Thanks so much, Ashley! I am so excited about how it’s all coming together – can’t wait to share more! 🙂
